Diane Grinnell Burch

Diane has lived in Mountain Lakes since 1999.  Her three children are members of the classes of 2013, 2014 and 2020.  She has served as Home & School Association President, The Bulletin editor, Home & School Association bake sale Chairperson, Spirit 5K volunteer, Education Foundation member, League of Women Voters member, and Lakeland YMCA volunteer.  Diane has a Bachelor of Science in Finance.

LaVonne Feigeles

LaVonne has lived in Mountain Lakes since 1999 and was elected to the Board of Education in 2008. She and her husband Mike have three children: Jake, MLHS Class of 2009, Lance, MLHS Class of 2011, and Tori, MLHS Class of 2013. She has actively volunteered since moving into town, with her primary focus being the Home & School Association. She has served on the H&SA Board in different capacities, including Briarcliff Chair, Parliamentarian, Bulletin Editor, and past President of the H&SA. LaVonne has also been active as a trustee of the Mountain Lakes Educational Foundation. She has a BA from Middlebury College and a MBA from New York University. Her work experience includes 15 years at Merrill Lynch in NYC until her retirement in 1995 upon the birth of her third child. Her interests include travel, golf, and reading.

David Gniewek - Board President
David has lived in Mountain Lakes since 1997. He was elected to the board in 2005. He and his wife have two children, Tucker MLHS Class of 2007 and Carly MLHS class of 2011. David is retired from the private practice of law. He has served on the policy committee since 2005, as vice president of the board in 2007-2008, as chairman of the negotiations committee 2007-2008, and on the finance committee. David is also involved in Mountain Lakes Swimming and Diving Association and Lakeland Hills YMCA.

Catherine Mitchell

I am a 51 year-old mother of four, married to Joff Mitchell. We have lived in Mountain Lakes for a total of 12 years. I was born in New Zealand and am a teacher by profession. I have been involved in school systems in New Zealand, Australia and the States which has given me an interesting perspective on education. I am currently assistant coach to the MLHS Freshman field hockey team, administrator and coach for the Mountain Lakes Recreation Field Hockey program, on the board of the Medical Needs Foundation, a member of the Mountain Lakes Garden Club and a volunteer for several other charities.

Michael Moreau

Mike has lived in Mountain Lakes since 2006 with his wife Lori and their three children, Jane MLHS Class of 2012, Kate MLHS Class of 2014 and Matthew MLHS Class of 2021.   Mike is currently active in the Mountain Lakes Swimming and Diving Association and the Mountain Lakes, Boonton Township, Boonton Soccer Association.  Previously, Mike was active on the strategy committee of the Down Syndrome Advocacy Foundation (DSAF) on Long Island. Mike is currently responsible for the Human Resources function of Crump Group, Inc. Prior to Crump, Mike worked at Olympus America, Automatic Data Processing and PepsiCo. Mike earned his BS from Ithaca College and an MS from Mercy College.

William P. Munday
Bill has lived in Mountain Lakes almost fourteen years and has been on the Board of Education since 2005. He and his wife, Denise, have three children: Jennifer, a teacher in the Wildwood School; Lindsey, a Junior at Northwestern University and Paul, a Junior at Mountain Lakes High School. Bill is an attorney. He is a past president of the Mountain Lakes, Boonton Township, Boonton Soccer association and the Lakeland Hills YMCA Swim Parents Association.

Kim Sheppell

Kim has lived in Mountain Lakes with her husband and two children since 2000. She has serviced in several volunteer positions in town including the Principal’s Advisory Council, CCD Teacher, and chairperson of the League of Women Voters Education Study. In addition to volunteering in town she also has performed grant writing for the Roots &Wings Foundation, serves on the Board of the Kids for Kids Foundation and works on mission trips to Haiti and the Dominican Republic. Kim also works as the COO of KHJ Development Corporation and holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance.

Ken Stokes - Board Vice-President

Ken has lived in Mountain Lakes since 2000 and was first elected to the Board of Education in 2004. He and his wife Dana have two children, Connor (MLHS '08) who attends Olin College of Engineering, and Lauren, a 2009 graduate of Swarthmore College. Ken is a member of the Program and MLEA Negotiations/Continuing Education Committees, and Chairman of the Finance Committee. He serves as Board liaison to the Borough Council and on the Board of Directors of the Morris County School Boards Association.  He has served previously on the Policy, Extra/Co-curricular,  and PEAK/Gifted & Talented Committees, and as Board liaison to the New Jersey School Boards Association. Ken is a former senior international business executive, as well as a volunteer firefighter and President of the Mountain Lakes Volunteer Fire Department.

Rosemary Wall

Rosemary has lived in Mountain Lakes since 1990 and was elected to the Board of Education in 2001. She and her husband Robert have four children, Robert (MLHS 2000), Rebecca (MLHS 2003), Christopher (MLHS 2006) and Andrew, a sophomore at MLHS. Rosemary chairs the Personnel and Special Education Committees, is a member of the Program Committee and has served previously on the Policy and Extra/Co-Curricular Committees. She has served on the committees which developed the 1999, 2004 and 2009 Long Range Education Plans. A founding member of the Special Education Forum, she is Board Liaison to that organization. Rosemary is retired from the private practice of law.

John came to the Mountain Lakes School District in 2001. He has his BA from William Paterson University and his Ed.M and Ed.D from Rutgers University. He and his wife live in Belle Mead, NJ. They have 4 grown children. John is on all the Board of Education committees.

Daniel A. Borgo - Business Administrator/Board Secretary
Dan recently joined the Mountain Lakes School District after holding the same position in the West Essex Regional School DIstrict for 16 years.  He has a BA from Monmouth University and a Masters Degree from Kean College.  He and his wife Robyn live in Randolph, NJ.  They have 2 children, Nick and Erica.
