Gail Boertzel
Gail has lived in Mountain Lakes almost nine years and has been on the Board of Education since 1999. She and her husband Ken have two children, Todd, a freshman in college and Allyson, a sophomore. Gail works part time as an attorney. She also was treasurer for three years for the League of Women Voters, Parliamentarian for the Home and School Association, and a member of Night Owls and Lakers Sports Club. Her Board of Education committees are Personnel - Chairperson, Negotiations, Finance, Athletics/Extra/Co-curricular and Facilities. Gail also acts as liaison to the Mountain Lakes Educational Foundation, Laker Sports and High School Facilities.

Diane Burch

Diane Grinnell Burch

Diane has lived in Mountain Lakes for 9 years and has 3 children; Tabitha in Wildwood, and Samantha and Alex in Briarcliff. She has served as Home & School Association president, The Bulletin editor, the H&SA Bake Sale Chairperson, Spirit 5K volunteer, and Lakeland YMCA volunteer. Diane has a BS in Finance.

Petrina Dawson
Petrina has been a resident of Mountain Lakes since 1994. Her four children are members of the class of 1998, 2000, 2007 and 2010, respectively. Petrina is General Counsel of Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services. She is the chair of the Policy Committee and serves on several other committees of the Board. Petrina’s main avocation is watching her sons play ice hockey and lacrosse.

Mark Cohen

Mr. Cohen is the Owner and Principal of PerformanceStream, a leading learning and performance organization serving small to mid-size companies in all industries. Through PerformanceStream, Mr. Cohen creates and facilitates processes and programs in areas such as: leadership, sales improvement, management skills, supervisory training, customer loyalty and time strategies for all levels of employees; as well as strategic thinking and business planning for these types of companies.

With more than thirty-five years of experience in the area of domestic and international corporate communications, to the Fortune 1000, Mark Cohen’s experience is extensive in all types of product offerings within the marketing services arena, including: performance improvement programs, strategic planning, production of large scale meetings and events, product launches, video and digital media production, point of sale materials and exhibit software.

Mr. Cohen is also a certified trainer for TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures)… the foremost solution to preventing intoxication, drunk driving, underage drinking and other hazards that sometime accompany the sale and service of alcohol. In addition, Mr. Cohen is the 2005 winner of the Richard Wilcox Award, presented to a leading member of the community for outstanding service to youth; and, was named the 2005 Citizen of the Year by the Lakeland Hills YMCA. Mr. Cohen resides in Mountain Lakes, NJ where he serves on the Board of Education and the Borough’s Board of Adjustment. He also sits on the Board of Governor’s for the Lakeland Hills YMCA.

LaVonne Feigeles

LaVonne has lived in Mountain Lakes since 1999. She and her husband Mike have three children, two sons at Mountain Lakes High School and a daughter at Briarcliff Middle School. She has actively volunteered since moving in town, with her primary focus being the Home & School Association. She has served on the H&SA Board in different capacities, including Briarcliff Chair, Parliamentarian, Bulletin Editor, and most recently, President of the H&SA. LaVonne has also been active as a trustee of the Mountain Lakes Educational Foundation. She has a BA from Middlebury College and a MBA from New York University. Her work experience includes 15 years at Merrill Lynch in NYC until her retirement in 1995 upon the birth of her third child. Her interests include travel, golf (still learning!), and reading.

David Gniewek - Board Vice-President
David has lived in Mountain Lakes since 1997. He was elected to the board in 2005. He and his wife have two children, Tucker MLHS Class of 2007 and Carly MLHS class of 2011. David is retired from the private practice of law. He has served on the policy committee since 2005, as vice president of the board in 2007-2008, as chairman of the negotiations committee 2007-2008, and on the finance committee. David is also involved in Mountain Lakes Swimming and Diving Association and Lakeland Hills YMCA.

William P. Munday
Bill has lived in Mountain Lakes almost fourteen years and has been on the Board of Education since 2005. He and his wife, Denise, have three children: Jennifer, a teacher in the Wildwood School; Lindsey, a Junior at Northwestern University and Paul, a Junior at Mountain Lakes High School. Bill is an attorney. He is a past president of the Mountain Lakes, Boonton Township, Boonton Soccer association and the Lakeland Hills YMCA Swim Parents Association.

Ken Stokes - Board President
Ken has lived in Mountain Lakes since 2000 and was elected to the Board of Education in 2004. He and his wife Dana have two children, Connor, a member of the MLHS Class of 2008, and Lauren, who attends Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania. Ken is a member of the Program and MLEA Negotiations/Continuing Education Committees, and Chairman of the Finance and PEAK/Gifted & Talented Committees. He serves as Board liaison to the Borough Council and the Morris County School Boards Association, and also serves on the Board of Directors of the MCSBA.  He has served previously on the Extra/Co-curricular and Policy Committees, and as Board liaison to the New Jersey School Boards Association. Ken is an early-retired, former senior business executive, and a volunteer firefighter & President of the Mountain Lakes Volunteer Fire Department

Rosemary Wall
Rosemary and her husband Robert and their 4 children have lived in Mountain Lakes for 15 years. She was elected to the Board of Education in 2001. Rosemary is a founding member of the Special Education Forum and is currently on the Special Education Standing Advisory Committee. As a Board member her committee involvement includes Special Education Chairperson, Program, and Personnel. Rosemary acts as liaison to the Special Education Forum.

Daniel A. Borgo - Business Administrator/Board Secretary
Dan recently joined the Mountain Lakes School District after holding the same position in the West Essex Regional School DIstrict for 16 years.  He has a BA from Monmouth University and a Masters Degree from Kean College.  He and his wife Robyn live in Randolph, NJ.  They have 2 children, Nick and Erica.
