TWO OF OUR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN THE LAKE DRIVE PROGRAM

WIN AT THE NORTH JERSEY CRAFTSMAN'S FAIR

 

 
 

Jennifer Lucca and Rachel Ellerbee, students in the Lake Drive Program at Mountain Lakes High School, were winners at the North Jersey Student Craftsman's Fair, which was held at the Ledgewood Mall on May 15th. Jennifer and Rachel attend the Morris County School of Technology as part of their afternoon program and are enrolled in the Food Services class. Their teacher, Chef Steven Remillard, chose them to participate in the Culinary Arts division of the fair.


There were four categories in this division: breads, garnish, desserts, and appetizers. Rachel competed in the bread category and presented her mouth watering sweet rolls accompanied by butter roses.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jennifer competed in the appetizer category and displayed her intricate Chicken and Cranberry En Croute (in pastry).

 

 

Jennifer and Rachel both won first place in their categories. Jennifer also received the additional honor of “Best of Show” of 62 pieces presented.
