Provide interventions to return students to class |

Maintain immunization records and health history |
• |
Provide a safe and healthy environment |
• |
Provide vision screening and health screenings and scoliosis screening and refer when needed |

Teach universal precautions |
• |
Support nutritional, comfort, and clothing needs |
• |
Identify health-related barriers and refer for care |
• |
Help students gain access to health care |
• |
Administer and monitor medications according to policy |
• |
In-service staff on CPR, AED, and choking according to American Heart Association Standards providing certification |

Notify staff of potential life threatening allergies and in-service Epi-pen administration according to NJ protocol |

Assist in formulating health policies within the district |
• |
Help students manage chronic illnesses. Teach self health care, and model empathy and concern for community |

Collaborate with mental health, audiology, PT, and OT for the success of each student |
