Our Physical Education curriculum is tailored to students from primary
grades to middle school.

In the Primary grades we focus on the development of motor skills.
These include manipulative skills such as throwing, catching, and
kicking. We accomplish these goals through the use of a variety of
games.

At age nine, team sports are introduced.

Game units include soccer, floor hockey, scooter polo, basketball,
badminton, volleyball, golf, and wiffle ball.

Fitness is stressed. Our students begin each class with a timed run,
stretching and exercise routine.

Project Adventure is another part of our curriculum. Project
Adventure games stress thinking, team tasks, and cooperative play.
Students are encouraged to work together to solve a problem. Emphasis is
placed on cooperation and teamwork.

Intramurals Sports Program
The intramural sports program provides an opportunity for our students to
participate in competitive sports.

Our program fields teams in ultimate frisbee, field hockey, volleyball,
soccer, basketball and softball. Two sports are practiced each week and
games are held on Fridays.

The Lake Drive basketball program has grown to include junior
varsity and varsity programs. We play a nine game schedule with a final
tournament held at a different regional location each year.

The intramural program provides camaraderie, social interaction and,
of course, the fun of competition.
